Your Request

I would like to watch the team in training.

Questions & Answers

Where is the training ground located?

The team trains at our training centre in Dortmund-Brackel (Adi-Preißler-Allee 9, 44309 Dortmund).

Can you just come to every training session and watch?

Unfortunately not, we distinguish between public and non-public training sessions. As soon as a training session takes place in private, access to the training ground is only reserved for the team and the coaching staff. These training sessions cannot be followed remotely from outside the training ground.

When does a public training take place?

As soon as a date for a public training session is set, you will find it on our BVB-Homepage

Do the players sign autographs after training?

If a public training session is scheduled, the players usually also sign autographs after the training session. However, there may be changes at short notice if the prevailing temperatures and the respective weather do not allow this. Please understand that autographs are only signed directly on the training ground in front of the stands. Please refrain from stopping players with their cars when leaving the premises. This is a dangerous traffic situation, especially for small children, which we want to avoid.

Can I record a greeting message with my mobile phone after training?

Of course, you can approach the players at an autograph session or after a public training session and ask them for a greeting message. Unfortunately, we cannot give a guarantee that this will work. This is decided individually by the players on site.

Why isn't every training session public?

The team often trains inside the team building, e.g. in the weight room, or completes running sessions at the back of the training ground. This is not visible to visitors. In order to avoid unnecessary journeys or to avoid disappointment, these units are not open to the public. Even the last session in Dortmund before a game always takes place behind closed doors.

Can I train with the team?

Training with the team is generally not possible for insurance and organisational reasons.

Is the training ground also accessible for wheelchair users?

With the wheelchair you can get to all areas that are accessible to visitors. The small existing spectator stand is also barrier-free. There is a cordoned-off area for wheelchair users during the public training sessions. As places are limited there, we would like to ask you to contact the fan representative Nicole Moeller (nicole.moeller@bvb.de) at least one day before training. Only one accompanying person per wheelchair user is allowed in the cordoned-off area. Only after a written commitment is it ensured that there is still enough space for you.

Can I take bags or a backpack with me?

You are welcome to take your backpack with you, but of course there will be checks. PET bottles up to 0.5l may also be taken along. Food, however, is not (unless it is baby food).

Is there anything to eat and drink on site?

Drinks and food will also be available for purchase at public training.

Are there toilets at the training ground?

The training ground in Brackel is equipped for visitors with toilets in the small stadium. These are located under the grandstand.

Can I take my dog to the training ground?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the grounds. Therefore, please understand that your four-legged friend will unfortunately not be allowed access.

However, please do not leave your dogs (or animals in general) unattended in the car during the training session to avoid overheating or hypothermia of the animal.

Can I book a guided tour of the training ground?

We do not offer a guided tour of the training center in Brackel. This is the workplace and recreation place for our teams. The training ground only opens its doors to visitors for the public training sessions, then you can take a seat in the visitors' stand and watch the professionals training. Autographs are often signed afterwards.

However, you are very welcome to book a guided tour of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
