Questions & Answers

Where can I park at the stadium?

There are over 10,000 paid parking spaces available around SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and the Westfalenhallen. The car parks around the stadium are open from about five hours before kick-off. There are also additional parking spaces on the university grounds at a price of 2 euros per car. From here, a shuttle bus runs to the stadium (from three hours before kick-off) and back again after the end of the game (up to two hours after the final whistle). Please note that the shuttle does not run on every matchday. In the respective Matchday Information on our homepage you will find the information whether the shuttle runs on the respective match day.

As a general rule, many people make their way to Dortmund's stadium for all BVB home games (but especially when SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is sold out). So if you want to travel by car, you should therefore calculate the time for the journey generously. If parallel events are also held in the Westfalenhallen at home games, there may be a shortage of parking spaces. Plan a possible search for a parking space in your arrival. You can find more information and a map with all parking grounds on our homepage

For electric cars, charging stations (2 innogy type 2 charging stations, 22 kW) are available in the A4 car park.

Buses of home fans can drive to car park C2 (Am Sonnenblick), away fans please park on E3 (Viktor-Toyka-Str.).

How much does a parking space cost on match day?

Here you can find an overview of the parking fees on the day of the match:

  • In DoPark's own car parks C1, C2, D1, D2, E1, E2, E3, F1, F2 and F3, a parking space for cars costs 8 euros.
  • Vehicles up to 7.5 t pay 20 euros.
  • In the parking lots of the Westfalenhallen (A1 - A7), parking spaces for cars cost 9 euros.
  • Parking tickets for buses cost 30 euros.

You can find more information at DoPark.

When do the parking areas open?

The parking areas usually open about 5 hours before kick-off.

Is it possible to reserve a parking space in advance?

The Westfalenhallen online offer a fee-based reservation option for the A1, A2 & A8 car park.

Are the car parks around SIGNAL IDUNA PARK guarded?

At the approach and departure routes to the parking lots, there are staff who regulate the traffic and check that everything is in order. Unfortunately, they cannot always monitor the entire parking lot. In any case, for your own safety, we advise you to completely close your car, including the windows, and to stow valuables away from view or to leave them at home.

Are there disabled parking spaces on match day?

Of course, there are also disabled parking spaces on the day of the match, which we allocate individually upon presentation of a severely disabled person's pass. Please send an e-mail with a copy of your severely disabled ID card to our colleague Andreas Bauer (andreas.bauer@bvb.de). It is also important that you include your address and - if available - your customer number for the postal delivery. In principle, the parking spaces for people with disabilities (with mark G) are reserved in car park C2 (Am Sonnenblick). The price of the parking ticket is 7 euros.

Can I spend the night in the car parks with my motorhome?

With the motorhome you can head for various parking lots and park there during the game. However, the parking lot cannot be used overnight. We recommend going to a campsite. As a matter of principle, we do not issue permits for night parkers here. However, since the parking lot does not belong to BVB, but to the company DoPark, we can only pass on the information.

Are there any offers for park-and-ride?

Of course, we also have an overview or Park & Ride grounds.
