Why is my login not working?
There can be various reasons for this:
- Your email address was entered incorrectly
- Your email address is correct, but is not available as an account in our database
- Your password is incorrect or doesn't match the email you entered
- Your account has been blocked by BVB
- Your account has been deleted/deactivated by yourself
Please pay attention to the error messages displayed when trying to log in. Below you will find explanations on how to fix problems logging in.
How do I reset my password?
If you have forgotten your password, use the „I forgot my password“-function on the login page. You will receive an email to the address provided. In the email there is a link that you can use to enter and save a new password.
What email address did I use?
Forgot your email address? Use the "I forgot my password"-function to set a new password for your email address. If your email address is in the system, you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset the password. Please reset your password and log in. If none of your e-mail addresses are available as a BVB account within the "Forgot password"-function, please register again, create a password and log in.
I get the message "The email address I entered is invalid."
The error message occurs if the email address entered in the field does not meet the specifications. Possible errors are:
- The @ sign is missing
- Your address does not have a correct extension, such as .de, .com or .at
- Your address contains a letter with an accent or with an special character which is not allowed: ()<>@,;:"[]|ç%&,
- There is still a space after the e-mail address. Many smartphones automatically insert a space when autocomplete is used.
If none of the errors exist and you still cannot log in, contact our service team with a short description of the problem. Please send a message to service@bvb.de and include your full name, address, date of birth and possibly your membership number.
I get the message "Unfortunately, the login did not work, please check your e-mail address and password."
Please check your entries again. The data entered does not appear to be correct.
- Did you make a typo? Maybe zero and O?
- Are you using upper and lower case correctly?
- Did the autocomplete perhaps fill in one space too many?
- Have you recently changed your password and your autocomplete still inserts the old password?
- Have you recently changed your account email address and your autocomplete is still inserting the old address?
If it still doesn't work, use the "I forgot my password"-function to set a new password for your email address. If your email address is in the system, you will receive a message with instructions on how to reset the password. Please reset the password and log in. If none of your e-mail addresses are available as a BVB account within the "Forgot password" function, please register again, create a password and log in.
I'm afraid someone else has accessed my account.
If there is a reasonable suspicion that your account has been hacked, data has been changed without consent, or your account is being misused, please proceed as follows:
- Change your password immediately
- Send a message to service@bvb.de and include your full name, address, and date of birth. Please explain the incident to us and, if possible, attach supporting documents to the email.
