Your concern
As an older person or as a companion, I would like to have a pleasant stay in the stadium.
Questions & Answers
Can I bring my walker?
Unfortunately, according to our Stadium Regulations , walkers are not allowed. Outside the wheelchair spaces in blocks 3 and 6, bulky objects would otherwise block the paths and obstruct escape routes.
Can I bring walking aids?
With walking aids, you are only allowed on the seating stands. These are not allowed in the standing area.
Can someone drive me up to the stadium and drop me off there so that I don't have to walk so far?
Strobelallee is generally closed on home match days and can only be used with a special pass. Removal is only possible before the crossing Wittekindstraße/Rosemeyerstraße. From there it is about 500 m to the temple via the path Am Westfalenstadion. Another point for dropping off and turning is the Max-Ophüls-Platz behind the Hotel Dorint. From there you can cross the B1 at the bridge and walk past the Westfalenhallen to the stadium (approx. 900 m). However, there is a rather steep climb when crossing the bridge.
From the A6, A7 and C2 car parks you have the shortest walking distances to the stadium.
Are there special entrances?
There are also special entrances at the north and south stands, which may of course also be used by older people and people in possession of a disability card (+ 1 accompanying person). The entrances that are on the map must be observed.
Which block is suitable if I'm not so good on my feet?
In general, all pitches are accessible via steps. We have some blocks in the stadium that can be booked for fans with disabilities. You can find all the information on our Homepage.
Otherwise, seats in the lower tier are recommended. The further down the pitch is towards the pitch, the fewer steps there are to go.
Is there an elevator in the grandstand?
Inside the stadium, there are also elevators to the individual stands. These can of course be used in special cases. Please just ask the stewards or volunteers on site. The colleagues will be happy to help you.
How much legroom do I have in my seat?
You can sit quite comfortably on the seat. However, please note that you may have to walk sideways on the way to the seat if there are already people sitting or standing on the other seats.
