Article summary

Your Request

I would like to buy day tickets for an already sold-out match via the BVB Ticket Secondary Market.

General Information

The game is already sold out? In this case, however, you still have the chance to buy a ticket via our secondary market!

Our secondary market has the goal of secure ticket allocation at fair prices. The official secondary ticket market is a valuable and important step in the fight against the black market and illegal ticket sales.

The system is simple: If you have a day or season ticket for a home match and are unable to attend, you can offer the ticket for resale on the secondary market. This means that every other fan will then have the opportunity to purchase the free ticket in the online shop.

Questions & Answers

When does the secondary ticket market open?

The secondary market will open parallel to the start of advance sales.

When does the secondary ticket market close before the match?

The secondary ticket market closes at least 3.5 hours before kick-off.

Where can I find the secondary ticket market?

For buyers, it makes almost no difference whether the tickets are bought in the primary market or in the secondary market. All tickets are offered at the Online-Ticketshop . Only in terms of prices is there still a fee for reselling tickets on the secondary market.

What are the fees for buying in the secondary market?

Tickets on the secondary market cost as much as the usual day ticket price for the match plus a service fee of 10% of the day ticket price. This applies to both day tickets and season tickets offered on the secondary market.

How do I receive my repurchased ticket as a buyer?

The general shipping conditions of the BVB ticket shop apply (see Online-Ticketshop). Currently, you will only receive Print@Home tickets (PDF) by e-mail for self-printing.

Who can buy the secondary market tickets?

There is no restriction on the purchase of secondary market tickets. Secondary market tickets can be purchased by the same groups of people who can also purchase tickets in advance. For example, if the advance sale is only for members, only members can buy secondary market tickets.

Can I offer a ticket that I bought on the secondary market again on the secondary market?

No! Unfortunately, the tickets purchased on the secondary market cannot be offered again via the secondary market.

Is it safe to buy on the secondary market?

Yes, you can be sure that you will receive an official ticket from Borussia Dortmund. When a ticket is posted on the secondary market, it is initially like a return. The original ticket will be deactivated and invalidated. If you buy the seat in the stadium via the secondary market, a new original ticket is generated by the ticket shop.

We strongly warn purchasing tickets through non-official providers. It is quite possible that tickets purchased there are copies, the tickets have not been paid for or that they have been blocked due to a violation of Borussia Dortmund's terms and conditions. In the worst case, this means that you have spent a lot of money and  you can't get into the stadium. If you want to be on the safe side, avoid third-party platforms and buy in the BVB secondary market.
