Using the Secondary Market as Ticket owner

I have a day ticket or a season ticket and would like to offer it for sale for a specific match on the secondary ticket market.

General Information

Our secondary market has the goal of secure ticket allocation at fair prices. The official secondary ticket market is a valuable and important step in the fight against the black market and illegal ticket sales.

The system is simple: If you have a day or season ticket for a home game and are unable to attend, you can offer the ticket for resale on the secondary market. This means that every other fan will then have the opportunity to purchase the free ticket in the online shop.

You don't even have to hand in the season ticket. The card will be electronically blocked for the game in question. The same applies to day tickets, of course. Tickets from the secondary market will be offered in the BVB ticket shop, just like the other freely available tickets. It is a common misconception that the "secondary market" is another market/shop. This is not the case. As a buyer in the online shop, you hardly notice a difference between the primary market (where tickets are posted by BVB) and the secondary market (where tickets are posted by ticket buyers/season ticket holders). It is the same BVB ticket online shop.

When can I start offering my ticket for a match on the secondary market? 

The secondary market will be activated for a match in the BVB online ticket shop as soon as advance sales start.

How can I offer tickets in the BVB ticket shop? 

The prerequisite is that you purchased the ticket directly from BVB with your own personal data. The secondary market function can be found in the Ticketshop behind the login in the "My Account" area. As soon as the secondary market is released, the corresponding function appears. Under "My Account" you will see the purchased seats for the corresponding game. Behind the single seat you will find a slider with which the ticket for the game can be released for resale. As soon as the slider has been activated, please enter your bank details for later crediting. If the bank details are entered correctly, the offer can be published. From this point on, the ticket will be visible in the BVB ticket shop and can be purchased as a day ticket. As soon as the ticket has found a buyer, you will receive an email about the successful sale of the ticket. It is then no longer possible to withdraw the offer. You will then automatically receive a refund to the bank account provided. This can take up to 14 days. You also have the option of donating part or all of the amount to the BVB foundation "leuchte auf". In order to donate as much as possible to the BVB Foundation, your donation will be doubled by Borussia Dortmund. 

Which tickets can be listed? 

As a holder of season or day tickets, you can offer your ticket via the BVB ticket shop if you cannot or do not want to use it. The prerequisite for this is always that you have purchased the tickets with your BVB customer data, because you use them to log in to www.bvb.de/ticketshop . For example, tickets from the away area, free tickets, VIP tickets and standing tickets from blocks 11, 12, 13 and 14 cannot be offered. 

Why can't I offer a ticket for blocks 11, 12, 13 and 13 on the secondary ticket market? 

Unfortunately, season tickets for South Stand blocks 11, 12, 13 and 14 cannot be resold via the official BVB secondary ticket market, as we often found a block binding violation in this area. Therefore, for security reasons, we cannot block issued tickets and put new tickets into circulation.

How can I withdraw my offer?

A withdrawal of the offer is possible as long as your offered ticket for the individual match has not yet been reserved or sold. As soon as a successful sale has occurred, you will receive an email that a new buyer has been found. At the same time, your ticket for this single match will be irrevocably cancelled/invalid.

Until when can I offer my ticket in the BVB TicketShop/Secondary Market before a match? 

As a rule, the secondary market closes 2.5 hours before the match.
