Your Request

I would like to order day tickets for an available match via the secondary market in the BVB online ticket shop.

Instruction

Here, screenshots explain how the purchase in the online ticket shop usually works.

1. On the homepage of the ticket shop, first select whether you want to buy tickets for a Bundesliga match, a Europa League match or for the U23s:

2. To see all the games for which you can buy tickets, first go to Login and log in with your BVB-Account or create a BVB-Account. As a member or season ticket holder, you must first log in to see the games if there is no free advance sale.

3. In the next step, select the match and then click on "Select seats now":

4. You will then see a stadium view. Free seats are shown in color and can be selected. All places that are gray have already been sold:

5. You can zoom directly into the grandstand and select your desired seats or you can go to the desired grandstand via the "Stadium Area" selection at the top. You can also filter the available tickets by price.

Once you have clicked on the desired seats, they will be displayed on the right. By clicking on the shopping cart at the bottom right you put them in the shopping cart:

6. In the shopping cart you then have 20 minutes to complete the booking. There is always a clock running at the top, so you can keep a good eye on the time:

7. Then you will come to check the address data. First, your master data from your BVB account will be transferred to the selection. If you want the tickets to be sent to a different address, you can also select a new shipping address for each order:

8. With "Continue to shipping and payment method" you will be taken to the selection of the desired payment method. Currently, the tickets are only offered by print@home, so there is currently no other option than "Digital Ticket" under "Shipping method". You can find more information about the payment methods below:

9. Confirm the selection with "Continue to check" and then see an overview of your order. After the ATGB is confirmed, the "Buy Now" box is activated:

Questions & Answers

Do I have to register to buy BVB tickets in the online shop?

Yes. All fans who have never bought a ticket and are not members must create a BVB-Account. All members and season ticket holders already have a BVB account.

Therefore, please do not register again if you are a member or a season ticket holder. If you don't remember your login details, send a message to service@bvb.de and include your full name, address, date of birth and, if applicable, your membership number. We check your data and make sure that you get a working account.

What are the advantages of the BVB account in the ticket shop?

If you are logged in to the BVB ticket shop with your account, the "My account" area is available to you. There you can view your orders (download print@home tickets), resell purchased tickets on the secondary market and manage personal data and delivery addresses.

How much do tickets cost in the online ticket shop?

You can find the ticket prices of the individual categories on our Homepage.

How can I pay in the ticket shop?

With credit card, SEPA direct debit, PayPal and giropay.

  • Credit cards: Mastercard, VISA and American Express are accepted.
    • Credit card check digit: By entering the credit card check digit, the security standard for ticket booking is increased even further. With VISA, the check digit can be found in the signature field on the back of the credit card, with Mastercard it is the three digits next to the signature field, with American Express it is the four-digit number printed on the front side of the credit card on the left or right.
    • Two-factor authentication: You will be asked to prove your identity using two factors during the checkout process. This two-factor authentication has been mandatory for online purchases since this year. For more information, please contact your bank.
  • SEPA Direct Debit: You issue a one-time direct debit authorization for the specified current account in the amount of the purchase price. Payment by direct debit is no longer available in the last few days before a match for security reasons.
  • PayPal: When paying via PayPal, you have the option of making payments with Mastercard, VISA, American Express or your bank account. You have two variants available:
    - You have a PayPal account: If you have selected the PayPal payment method in our order dialog, you will automatically be taken to the PayPal login page after clicking on the "Order with obligation to pay" button. Log in with your PayPal account credentials and make the payment.
    - You don't have a PayPal account: In the PayPal payment dialog, the message "You don't have a PayPal account yet? ". There you will find the further link "Continue". Click on this link to be able to choose the payment method as a guest. Again, you can choose between Mastercard, VISA, American Express and your bank account. The advantage: You don't have to register with PayPal.
  • giropay: giropay is a payment method for online purchases that is supported by more than 1,500 banks and savings banks. In principle, it is an online transfer that is processed directly via the online banking of your own bank or savings bank. The use of giropay is free of charge, and no additional registration or login is required. After the purchase, you will be redirected to the online banking of the specified bank and log in there with the usual login. All data such as invoice amount, purpose and recipient are automatically passed on from the online shop to the bank, so that customers only have to approve the transfer with a TAN or mTAN. Immediately after completing the payment, the online shop receives the message that the money has been transferred and can send the goods. This is also the biggest benefit for customers. This is because with advance payment, the online shop usually waits for receipt of payment before shipping the goods. With giropay, this waiting time is no longer necessary.

How are the tickets sent?

Currently, you can only receive print@home-tickets (PDF) by e-mail to print out yourself. The only exceptions at the moment are season tickets and guest tickets, if the host club provides us with "hard tickets".

  • print@home: No fees. The ordered tickets, the associated invoice and the general Terms and Conditions will be sent by e-mail with the purchase confirmation after the booking has been completed. Dispatch via ticket.direct (print@home) is possible until the start of the match when paying by credit card, PayPal and giropay.

In addition to print@home, delivery by post is also offered for away tickets.

  • Mailing:Costs 6 euros shipping fee. After successful payment, the tickets will be delivered by registered mail. From five days before the matchday, it is usually no longer possible to send them by post. Delivery by post is only made within Germany.

Why do I have to provide my phone number when ordering?

We need the phone number to provide you with the best service. If we have any questions about the ticket order, we will write an e-mail or we will call if it is urgent. Especially if you have any questions on the day of the match, we would like to reach you by phone, e.g. if your ticket is lost and it is handed in to us. The phone number is not used for advertising purposes or even passed on.

What else is included in the ticket besides admission?

The ticket for Borussia Dortmund's home games is also a ticket for all local public transport. Long-distance trains such as IC and ICE are not included. Since last season, the entitlement to travel (until 3 a.m. on the day of the match) has been valid throughout the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and thus on the means of transport of the VRR, WestfalenTarif, VRS, AVV (2nd class). Please note that a separate ticket is required for digital tickets such as the print@home variant if you use public transport for arrival and departure. You will receive more information in your confirmation email with the tickets or on bvb.de.

Why do I see the stadium view, but I don't see any free seats?

Free seats are shown in color and can be selected. All places that are gray have already been sold. As long as the game is still generally displayed, tickets could become available again at irregular intervals. Either because reservations have expired with us, or because ticket buyers have released their tickets for sale again on the secondary market. Please check back at a later time.

How can I order tickets from abroad?

Tickets can also be ordered or requested from abroad via our online ticket shop.

Are the tickets personalized?

The tickets are not personalized. Only the ticket buyer has to provide his data when buying. Otherwise, the tickets can be passed on.

However, the buyer remains responsible for what happens to the ticket. So if the ticket shows up on the black market, for example, the original buyer is responsible and liable. It must also be ensured that no people with stadium bans or other dangerous persons come into the stadium. The ticket buyer must be able to provide the personal data if necessary.

Is the transmission of my personal data in the ticket shop secure?

The booking of tickets in our online ticket shop is secured by SSL encryption. This is usually recognizable by the Internet address (URL) beginning with "https://". The "s" is the indicator for the SSL encryption of the data, directly from the moment the BVB ticket shop is accessed.
