What is a holiday course?
In our holiday courses (6-13 years) we teach football basics such as passing, dribbling or scoring. The duration of the courses is between four and five training days. (This is fun and learning-oriented training!) In addition to these basics, important values of sport such as fair play, team spirit and the conscious use of healthy nutrition are trained. The courses are also offered for goalkeepers at the Dortmund location. Detailed information about our holiday courses and all other courses can be found on our Homepage.
Does the academy also offer holiday courses for goalkeepers?
For goalkeepers, we offer separate holiday courses in which targeted goalkeeper training takes place. Here, training is always done in small groups. The children are supported according to modern goalkeeper training. Here, too, the focus is of course on fun.

What are ball game courses?
In principle, the course models of the BVB Evonik Football Academy are aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 13. Within our course model ball game course for 4- and 5-year-old tots, even the smallest junior footballers get the opportunity to gain their first ball experience in small groups. In child-friendly exercise units based on the concept of the Heidelberg Ball School, even the youngest children familiarize themselves with the sport. With different playing materials, we train in small groups on our artificial turf pitch. In the winter months, we train indoors in the Padel City Halle near the football academy.
The fun with the round leather is in the foreground here.
Performances:
- once a week ball school over 60 minutes
- Drinks (water) during the entire course units
- Visit from club mascot EMMA
- Certificate and medal
- 1909% Fun
What are advanced courses?
Advanced players who have already enjoyed a good basic technical education may be eligible for our advanced courses. This is a year-round course outside the school holidays, which cannot be booked directly by the participants, but only by invitation in advance.
Children from all courses at the Football Academy are specifically selected by the BVB coaches and asked whether they would like to receive support in the advanced courses.
The advanced courses take place once or twice a week and deal with the refinement of the basic techniques taught in the previous courses.
The advanced courses always start quarterly and offer optimal and year-round support for all advanced children.
What are advanced courses?
Called to higher tasks? The advanced courses are the superordinate level that joins the advanced courses and forms the substructure of the youth performance centre. Here you have the opportunity to train all year round if you are particularly talented and one of the best players in your age group nationwide.
Our advanced courses are not freely bookable!
The advanced course takes place in addition to the normal club training. You have the opportunity to receive additional support from our BVB coaches up to twice a week. In addition to the normal training, games against our junior teams also take place at regular intervals.
All the children here already know each other very well, as most children train together for a longer period of time. Thanks to optimal support in performance-based groups, there are always participants in the advanced course who make the leap to a youth performance centre. Players who have made an excellent impression in the other courses or at the Day of Talents will be invited by our coaches to try out the advanced courses. If you confirm that you can keep up in terms of performance, you can take part in the advanced courses.
Are there also courses abroad?
The BVB Evonik Football Academy also offers you great and intensive football courses in Austria. All licensed BVB coaches travel all the way from the Dortmund region to train you. So this is your chance! In cooperation with the WESTSIDE SOCCER ARENA in Vienna, the BVB Evonik Football Academy offers holiday courses throughout Austria.
In addition to our classic holiday courses, a special highlight takes place in Austria once a year: You can experience a breathtaking holiday week in Westendorf and an exciting programme with the Kitzbüheler Alpen as part of the BVB Experience Week.
Another destination of the BVB Evonik Football Academy is the home country of former BVB defender Łukasz Piszczek.
An intensive football programme in Poland at various locations has already inspired many children in recent years. In cooperation with the Fundacja Akademia Łukasza Piszczka, holiday courses are also offered in Poland. All information about the contents, locations and booking is available directly from the Fundacja Akademia Łukasza Piszczka.
