Your Request
I want to enter the stadium at the right time via the right entrance without having to wait long.
General Information
SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is divided into north, south, west and east stands according to the cardinal directions. In addition, there are the four corners of south/east, south/west, north/east and north/west. Your ticket will tell you in which area you are sitting.
For guests with normal tickets, the four entrance areas Southeast, Northeast, North Central and Northwest are available. The ticket shows its own entrance area. In addition, you can see from the block which entrance you have to go into the stadium.
Ticket holders with access to our hospitality areas have additional entrances, as do all people with work cards.
The stadium gates open 2.5 hours before kick-off. We strongly recommend going to the stadium at least 1.5 hours before kick-off to avoid longer waiting situations.
Entrance categories:
- Regular entrance: All guests who have a ticket for the respective area can enter here. In the case of identity checks, a distinction is only made between men and women, who are checked by security personnel of the same sex.
- Women's entrance: some entrance lanes are marked with "women's pictograms". This is intended to make it easier for our female fans to queue up at the trail, at the end of which female stewards stand to carry out the identity check. These entrances can also be used with children.
- Special entrance: Access is reserved for people of retirement age, pregnant women, children under 14 years of age, people with disabilities + an accompanying person, VIP ticket holders and for working people with a work card. The special entrances are located on north-west, north-east and south-east.
Q&A
When does the stadium open?
The stadium opens 2.5 hours before kick-off on home match days. At the same time, the toilets and the numerous food stalls will also be open, where you can get a wide range of drinks as well as hot and cold snacks. We recommend that you arrive at the stadium early (at least 1.5 hours before the start of the match). During rush hour, the waiting time at all entrances can be up to 45 minutes.
Do I have to print out the ticket with me?
No, since this season you will also have digital access to the stadium. This means that our scanners at the turnstiles can also read the barcode from the smartphone.
Can I take my backpack to the stadium?
Only bags with a maximum size of DIN-A4 format with a depth of no more than 15 centimetres may be taken into SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
Can I have valuables stored outside the stadium?
A limited number of backpacks or bags can be stored for the duration of the stadium visit. However, storage spaces are limited, which is why we recommend coming as early as possible.
The following positions are available:
- Drop-off point home supporters
- "Helmbude" North/West
- Drop-off point away supporters Nord
- Drop-off point away supporters Turnweg
Our drop-off points are open from 2.5 hours before the match until kick-off and then from the 75th minute of the game until 45 minutes after the end of the game.
A donation of €0.50 is requested for the deposit of items. Alternatively, you can lock your backpack in a locker at the station when you arrive by train. In principle, however, we advise you to refrain from taking bags with you altogether.
How big can my valuables be?
Larger suitcases may also be handed in at the drop-off points. However, we reserve the right not to accept (too) large pieces of luggage due to lack of space.

Unfortunately, walkers and prams are not allowed (see Stadium Regulations, § 7 f ). Bulky objects would otherwise block the paths and obstruct escape routes.

Once I'm in the stadium, can I get out and back in with my ticket?
As soon as you pass the turnstile, the ticket will be validated. It is therefore not possible to regain access with it. In exceptional cases, however, you can use the "selection columns" in the entrance areas. In this way, re-entry is possible.
